Pay & Benefits

$3,600 signing bonus

Pay Range for skilled technicians is based on years worked in the industry, education and current certificates, and added skills.

  • $22.00-$30.00 Flat Rate (or) $19.00-$25.00 Hourly Wage
  • Bonus(es) based on productivity
  • Benefit Package:

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on all makes and models of cars and light trucks
  • Inspecting vehicle’s mechanical components and diagnose concerns
  • Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems and resolving those issues
  • Explain mechanical problems and possible solutions
  • Planning work and testing procedures using charts, your experience, and other organizational methods
  • Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly
  • Ensuring that all critical parts are checked and tested per customers request Repair and replace worn or defective parts
  • Perform basic automotive care and routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, changing oil, replacing worn-out brakes, tail or headlights, and rotate, replace and fill tires
  • At the request of the service writer/manager/owner, explain to customers what’s wrong with their vehicle
  • Keep tools and other equipment clean and stored properly
  • Help train other employees
  • Write detailed information of work performed
  • Incorporate principles of safety into daily activities, & use protective equipment when appropriate
  • Apply principles of body mechanics to prevent injury and accidents
  • Display personal behavior that has a positive impact on the team
  • Personal commitment to staying current in the field, expanding knowledge and skills, and contributing to the organizational success
  • Display ability to work in an ever-changing environment and participates constructively in the change process
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Perform other duties as requested
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and time management, and the ability to prioritize, includes having the ability to schedule and work on multiple vehicles
  • Dexterity and coordination
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Customer service skills
  • Can stand and bend for several hours at a time
  • Work with your hands
  • Impressive eye-hand coordination
  • Work independently without much additional instruction
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of the following diagnosis and repair:
  • Engine
  • Heating and air conditioning systems
  • Brakes
  • Suspension and steering
 
The following is a plus:
  • Diesel engine knowledge
  • Transmission and Differential repair knowledge
  • Any specialized training, degree, or certificates
